Economic Club of Chicago Gala Features the Hawks

Economic Club of Chicago diverged from the usual tuxes and evening dresses at the gala on Monday, October 19, featuring W. Rockwell (Rocky) Wirtz, principal owner and chairman of the Chicago Blackhawks, and John McDonough, Hawks president and CEO. Although elegance still prevailed, guests were invited to wear Hawks jerseys! Although I didn’t have a jersey to wear, it was interesting to see the unusual mix of casual and formal throughout the evening. It was the first gala for new ECC chair Ilene Gordon.
