U.S.-China Sister Cities Reception at Field Museum

I enjoyed attending the opening reception of the 2015 U.S.-China Sister Cities Conference at the beautiful Cyrus Tang Hall of China at the Field Museum on Thursday, October 22. The China Committee of Chicago Sister Cities did a wonderful job hosting this important event, which kicked off Friday’s full day of sessions exploring business, education, networking and best practices for the continued success and growth of sister city partnerships. Dignitaries in attendance included Chicago Deputy Mayor Steven Koch and many representatives of government, business and education from both China and the U.S. In addition to its forward-looking agenda, this year’s conference celebrated the 30th anniversary of Chicago’s sister cities Shanghai and Shenyang.
