Metro Chicago Xport Challenge
Metro Chicago Exports and UPS presented the 2016 Metro Chicago XPORT Challenge on October 20th. As one of 10 finalists chosen, I had the honor of representing Russian Pointe and presenting our international business plans to a panel of judges. Finalists were also given a table to display products and share more about what we do and why it is important. Competitors were individually interviewed prior to the main pitch, as well. It was very exiting not only to share the Russian Pointe story, but to also learn about other finalists and their products.
Ninety minutes of presentations flew by, and while guests and finalists networked, the judges decided on the top 3 finalists to be awarded grants from Metro Chicago and UPS. Even though Russian Pointe placed 4th, I am grateful to have been given the opportunity by Metro Chicago Exports who, with the help of JP Morgan Chase, is helping local businesses to identify better growth and expansion opportunities, and provides platforms like the Xport Challenge to present your business, receive feedback, network and learn more about businesses within the Chicagoland community.
