PRE-PERFORMANCE RECEPTION: NEDERLANDS DANS THEATER I

I hosted a pre-performance reception for Nederlands Dans Theater on June 17 at Russian Pointe Dance Boutique, giving guests a chance to meet artistic director Anders Hellström and choreographers Paul Lightfoot and Crystal Pite. Netherlands Consul General Willem Schiff was also an honored guest. Mr. Hellström, Mr. Lightfoot and Ms. Pite each spoke to the gathered guests, offering personal connections to the pieces in the performance that followed at Auditorium Theatre. Reception guests found Nederlands' performance exquisite and moving. Knowing that the performance was Hellström's last with the company added a special poignancy.
