Ladies Summer Work Clothes: How to Look Professional when it’s Hot!
Summertime, 90F degree heat and humidity outside, and ice-cold air conditioners inside. Here are a few of my tips on how to look polished and professional during hot summer months.
-Denim shorts, strapless tops, flimsy dresses that reveal too much... keep these for the weekend. If you're considering something you'd pack for the beach, it's probably best avoided.
-Shorts in the office? Yes, if they are tailored, ideally pair with a well-ironed shirt.
-Opt. for light colors and loose-fitting fabrics.
-Always bring a long sleeve cardigan/jacket as it tends to get cold inside.
-The most important thing you can wear in the city heat is sunscreen. Choose one that's lightly tinted (as well as SPF50) and you can forget about foundation.
And for fun – how about an elegant hat to protect you from sun and to dress up the outfit!
