Visit to Russian Pointe® retailer in Alaska

On June 29, I had the pleasure of visiting Alaska Dance Emporium — the only place in Alaska where Russian Pointe® shoes are sold!

Owner Michelle Palmatier has been carrying Russian Pointe® shoes exclusively for three years.

“It’s like getting a custom shoe without getting them custom made,” Palmatier said of Russian Pointes. “I don’t see the need to carry anyother shoe.”

Recently, Alaska Dance Emporium also started carrying the Growing Through Arts® books and toys, and it was wonderful to meet Palmatier’s daughter, Rebekha, 10, who is a huge fan of the Ballet Series.

“Every time my daughter is in the store with me, she sitsover by the Russian Pointes and she’ll play with [the Cinderella Stage Scene Play Set] for hours and hours making up different stories and ballets,” Palmatier says.
