Growing Through Arts® at the Emmys

Growing Through Arts® is going to Hollywood! On Sept. 16, my sister, Elizaveta, and I will be attending a pre-Emmy Awards reception at L’Ermitage Beverly Hills Hotel, where we will be giving a copy of The Nutcracker Ballet by Aleksandra® to each celebrity nominee in their gift bag. In addition, we’ll be giving out about 10 copies to members of the press.

Although I normally don’t have time to watch a lot of TV, I am looking forward to meeting some of my favorite TV celebrities, including Amy Poehler, Laura Linney, Steve Carell, Alec Baldwin and others. Elizaveta is hoping she will get to meet Jon Hamm from Mad Men!

A portion of the proceeds from the event will benefit the Humane Society, and I’m pleased we will be able to support such a worthy cause with our efforts.

Then, on Sept. 18, my sister and I will be attending the Emmy Awards in person! I’m thrilled to be able to attend this once-in-a-lifetime event, and I’m sure I’ll be star struck once I step inside the Nokia Theater in Los Angeles.

I’m especially excited to see who will win the Emmy for best choreography ― So You Think You Can Dance? Or Dancing With the Stars. Both of those shows are doing so much to promote dance to a wider audience, and I hope they both get some well-deserved recognition.
