Flowers for the Boss

This summer we had two bright and hardworking interns for a 6 weeks internship at Russian Pointe. This is the third year Interns joined RP to experience the hands on entrepreneurial spirit of a growing business. (I wish I had an internship like that when I was a student!) This week I received a lovely bouquet of flowers from one of the interns as a thank you, and they were purple!…hmmm…. I wonder why 😊

Here are a few tips for gifting flowers to a boss:

  1. Include a note with at least one detail about the experience.

  2. If company has a brand color – see if you can find flowers in that color.

  3. Stay away from roses, especially red & pink.

  4. Be aware of cultural differences – for example in Eastern Europe its customary to give odd number of flowers, especially roses (even number of flowers are only for funerals) and In Japan you should never give a sick person a potted plant - a potted plant takes root, and the Japanese expression for “taking root” pronounced very close to “staying in bed.”

Happy Gifting and thank you for the flowers from ‘Flowers for Dreams’.
